About Our Family
We are a busy, active family of six based in Katy, TX, with four kids ranging from infant to preteen. Our household runs on sports schedules, school routines, and the beautiful, beautiful chaos that comes with raising a big family. Between softball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball, we are rarely sitting still. We use a shared digital calendar to keep everyone on the same page, and we take pride in running a home that, even on the hardest days, feels like home. We have a beloved French bulldog who is very much part of the family too. We are faith-oriented people who value warmth, honesty, and a good sense of humor in the people we bring into our lives.
We are looking for more than just a helper. We need a partner in this season of life. The right person will genuinely understand what it means to keep a household running at full capacity, from managing the morning rush before the first bus arrives to keeping laundry from taking over the weekend. We want someone who sees what needs to be done and does it, who communicates directly when something comes up, and who takes real pride in the home they’re helping run. This is a role where trust, consistency, and a strong partnership matter, and we hope to find someone who can grow alongside our family for years to come.
The ideal House Manager for our family is someone who brings calm confidence and real-world experience to the role. You may have experience running your own household, raising children, or managing the many moving pieces that come with a busy family life. You are warm with children, genuinely enjoy being around them, and can confidently keep up with a home full of energetic kids. You do not need to be told twice—you notice what needs attention, take initiative, stay ahead of the curve, and bring solutions rather than waiting for direction.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
- Bring a proactive mindset and take initiative without needing to be micromanaged after the initial learning curve
- Engage genuinely and warmly with children of all ages, from infants to preteens
- Step in wherever needed and adapt as the day's priorities shift
- Communicate directly and honestly, raising questions or concerns without hesitation
- Anticipate household needs before they become problems
- Work independently and manage time well across a varied daily schedule
- Comfortable stepping into a household and confidently managing responsibilities
- Maintain the physical energy and stamina needed to keep up with young children and an active household
- Bring maturity and real-life household experience to the role
- Stay organized across multiple moving parts, including school schedules, sports calendars, and daily household tasks
- Commit to the long term and grow with the family as needs evolve
- Demonstrate comfort and genuine ease around pets
