Job Description:
Easterseals NH is looking for aDirect Support Associate (DSA) to join our Community Based Services team! This program supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs living within our residential homes.Schedule:Full time and part time available 11p-7a
Asleep overnight position.
Pay: $15.00/hour
Opportunity to attend paid internal NADSP training to become a certified Direct Support Professional which leads to career advancement and pay increases.
Responsibilities:
The Direct Support Associate will support in promoting independence, creating a safe environment, and providing companionship to clients in a residential home setting.
Assist clients with activities of daily living such as personal care and medication administration
Assisting with lifting, transferring, and mobility support
Support and assist with household tasks such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry
Accompany individuals on outings such as daily activities, appointments, and community events
Follow each individuals care plan
All staff will undergo training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety
Complete required daily documentation on a computer or tablet
Other duties as needed or assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience providing direct support or direct care (preferred)
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance
