Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicantsto join our dynamic faculty for a full-time non-tenure trackfaculty appointmentas an Academic Fieldwork Coordinatorfor theMaster's inOccupationalTherapy Program.This position hasan anticipated start date ofJanuary 2026and will have50% time dedicated to the role asAcademic Fieldwork Coordinator. We are seeking talented candidates toprovide clinically focused learning opportunities for students.  

The successful candidate will be expected to teach in an area of expertise, engage inscholarship, and provide service to the Department, College, and/or University.Primary academic fieldwork coordinator responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  

• Collaboration with faculty to ensure the fieldwork program reflects the sequence and scope of curricular content todesign fieldwork experiences strengthening the ties between didactic and fieldwork education 

• Matching and assigning students to fieldwork placements andadvise students of the overall fieldwork (Level I and Level II) process and program 

• Communication with students and fieldwork educatorsrelated tostudent progress and performance during fieldwork experiences 

• Representing the Program at various trainings, meetings, conferences, and clinical site visits 

TheMaster’sin OccupationalTherapyProgramis housedwithin the Doisy College of Health Sciences (DoisyCollege.slu.edu). Faculty have access to classrooms and laboratories withstate-of-the-art teaching and research technologies.Fieldwork coordination responsibilities are supported by staff in both the department and Dean’soffice related to site identification and management of contracts.The Paul C. Reinert, S.J. Center for Transformative Teaching and Learning provides faculty resourcestoassistin designing meaningful and engaging classroom experiences.The competitive total compensation package includes tuitionremission for qualified personnel and a generous retirement plan.  Rank and salary are dependent on qualifications and experience. 

Position Requirements 

Required 

• Minimum of a master’s degree 

• Licensed occupational therapist with at least five years of practiceexperience 

• At least three years of experience as a fieldwork educator for Level I and/or Level II fieldwork and/or instructing students in a classroom or lab environment at the college or university level. 

• Currently licensed asanoccupational therapist or eligible for licensure in the state of Missouri 

• Evidence of current contentexpertise including clinical education 

• Evidence of teaching experience (e.g., course instructor, continuing education, conference presentations) 

• Served as a clinical instructor and/orsitecoordinator ofclinicaleducation 

Preferred 

• Terminal doctoral degree: Doctor of OccupationalTherapy (OTD) or academic doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D.,Sc.D.,Ed.D.) 

• Evidence of University teaching experience (e.g., course coordinator, laboratory instructor, or lecturer) 

• Record of peer-reviewed scholarship
