Electrical Service Operations Manager

As ourElectrical Service Operations Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day performance and long-term growth of the business while developing people, strengthening partnerships, and delivering exceptional service for our customers. Here’s How You'll Make An Impact:
Lead and Develop a High-Performing Team
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop project managers, service electricians, coordinators, and support staff.
- Establish clear expectations, accountability, and performance standards.
- Support employee growth through training, feedback, career development, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture built on teamwork, trust, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Lead team meetings, training initiatives, and performance management efforts.
Drive Business Growth and Customer Relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, property managers, general contractors, and industry partners.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships and develop new business opportunities.
- Support estimating, proposal development, and sales efforts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers while promoting Sequoyah's service capabilities.
- Help grow recurring service revenue and strengthen long-term client partnerships.
Own the Business
- Manage division revenue, profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and financial performance.
- Monitor operational and financial KPIs to drive informed decision-making.
- Lead manpower planning and resource allocation efforts.
- Drive accountability throughout the order-to-cash process, including execution, billing, collections, and customer satisfaction.
- Support and manage a multi-million-dollar service business with a focus on sustainable growth and profitability.
Deliver Service Excellence
- Ensure service work is delivered safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Improve responsiveness, communication, and customer experience across the division.
- Partner with field and office teams to solve challenges and remove roadblocks.
- Develop and implement processes that improve consistency, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Create an environment where customers view Sequoyah as their trusted electrical service partner.
Improve and Scale Operations
- Evaluate and improve workflows, procedures, and operational processes.
- Leverage service management software and technology to support efficiency and visibility.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives throughout the division.
- Identify opportunities to streamline operations and support future growth.
- Implement best practices that improve performance and scalability.
Lead with Safety and Integrity
- Champion a culture where safety is a core value.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and customer requirements.
- Promote quality workmanship and operational excellence.
- Support proactive risk management and problem resolution.
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and integrity.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience within the electrical construction, electrical service, or maintenance industry.
- 10+ years of experience leading commercial service electricians, project managers, or service teams.
- Experience leading employees with diverse responsibilities across operations, project management, customer service, and business development.
- Demonstrated success managing revenue, profitability, forecasting, budgeting, and departmental performance.
- Experience supporting estimating, proposals, sales efforts, and client relationship management.
- Experience utilizing service management software and business systems.
- Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Washington State O1 Electrical Administrator License.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience managing a service organization with $15M+ in annual revenue.
- Experience mentoring project managers and developing future leaders.
- Proven ability to balance operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and profitable growth.
