Event/Exhibition Manager, Asia Water

Informa Markets, a division within Informa, creates global platforms for industries. We organise over 500 large-scale branded and transaction-oriented events in 14 specialist markets. These are typically not-tobe-missed annual events where buyers and sellers build relationships, see and show products and do business.

We also provide year-round online platforms where companies showcase their businesses and products and buyers conduct research, generating valuable leads, and we provide data and digital content that supports the flow of knowledge and transactions in markets.

This role is based in our Ari Hills Building office.

The role

The Event Manager for Asia Water Bangkok will lead the strategic development and execution of this show co-located with Asia Sustainable Energy Week, focusing on establishing the event as a premier platform for water technology and sustainability solutions.

• Support the development of Asia Water Bangkok's strategy as a new launch show in Southeast Asia's water and wastewater industry
• Design and deliver exceptional event experiences for this inaugural edition, establishing strong foundations for future growth
• Develop customer experience strategies, incorporating feedback to position Asia Water Bangkok as a leading platform for water technology and sustainability solutions
• Support the Senior Event Manager in Brand P&L management, including conferences and complementary products
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align all event elements and leverage synergies with co-located Asia Sustainable Energy Week
• Negotiate with venues and suppliers for event-specific requirements
• Build relationships with key industry customers, developing deep market knowledge to inform event strategy
• Oversee event floorplan and identify cross-promotional opportunities with Asia Sustainable Energy Week
• Support the successful launch and establishment of Asia Water Bangkok

• Minimum 8 years of experience leading B2B exhibitions, with new event launch experience preferred
• Proven track record in developing brand and sales strategies with strong sales acumen
• Experience managing international customer relationships across diverse regions and cultures
• Fluency in English and Thai is mandatory
• Independent, inspirational leader with ability to build senior-level relationships and manage high-value accounts
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to define and execute sales strategies against targets
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment
• Travel requirement: 20-30%
