In-house Legal Counsel - Project Finance & M&A

We are looking for anIn-house Legal Counselto join our Legal team and support project finance, financing operations, and M&A activities. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-impact transactions, with a particular focus on structured finance and banking and financial matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including financing agreements, purchase and sale contracts, and other ancillary agreements
- Provide legal advice on financing, banking transactions, and M&A activities, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Support the structuring and execution of financing transactions through legal analysis and interpretation of relevant legislation
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and efficient transaction processes
- Guide internal teams on compliance requirements and best practices related to financing and M&A transactions
- Law degree (Master’s degree is a plus)
- Admission to the Portuguese Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados)
- At least 5 years of professional experience in legal advisory, contract management, compliance, or related areas
- Previous experience in banking, financial transactions, or structured finance is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of Banking, Financial, and Corporate Law
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
