Role Overview

We are looking for aSpace Quality Assurance Engineers with strong knowledge ofECSS-Q standards to support quality and product assurance activities on satellite or spacecraft projects. This role is suited for someone with hands-on experience in space project QA, technical documentation, process compliance, supplier follow-up, reviews, audits, and non-conformance management.

The ideal candidate has worked in thespace or aerospace industry and understands how ECSS-based quality requirements are applied across engineering, manufacturing, testing, and delivery.

CONTRACT: Contractor Agreement

COMMITMENT: Full-time (multi-year)

LOCATIONS:ONSITE Friedrichshafen, Germany;Relocation support

NOTES: EU passport needed; English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supportquality assurance and product assurance activities for satellite or spacecraft projects
• Ensure project processes and deliverables comply withECSS-Q requirements
• Review technical documentation, quality records, test documentation, and project deliverables
• Support design reviews, manufacturing reviews, test readiness reviews, and acceptance reviews
• Monitor non-conformances, corrective actions, deviations, waivers, and quality risks
• Participate in internal or supplier audits and follow up on action items
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and project management teams
• Support supplier quality activities and review supplier documentation when needed
• Maintain traceability of quality requirements, evidence, and project documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, templates, and reporting

• 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, product assurance, or quality engineering
• Experience in thespace or aerospace industry
• Practical knowledge ofECSS-Q standards
• Experience with non-conformance management, corrective actions, deviations, or waivers
• Experience reviewing technical documentation, test documentation, or quality records
• Experience supporting project reviews, audits, inspections, or acceptance processes
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Ability to work with technical engineering teams in a structured project environment

Nice to Have

• Experience withECSS-Q-ST-10 orECSS-Q-ST-20
• Experience withECSS-Q-ST-60 for EEE components
• Experience withECSS-Q-ST-70 for materials, mechanical parts, or processes
• Experience withECSS-Q-ST-80 for software product assurance
• Previous experience on satellite, spacecraft, payload, or ground segment programs
• Fluency in spoken and written German
