As aMaintenance Mechanical Engineer – Tool Shop, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, molds, and tool shop equipment to support uninterrupted production operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance plans for tooling and tool shop equipment.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for molds, tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Analyze equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain standard maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Coordinate repairs, overhauls, and modifications of production tools and molds.
- Monitor tooling performance and recommend improvements to increase reliability and efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives focusing on safety, quality, productivity, and cost optimization.
- Ensure proper maintenance records are maintained and updated.
- Monitor spare parts availability and support inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with 5S, GMP, quality, and safety standards within the Tool Shop.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to achieve operational objectives.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum3 years of professional experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; experience in tooling, molds, or plastics processing is considered an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance principles.
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical equipment and production tooling.
- Good understanding of machining processes, molds, dies, and precision mechanical components.
- Experience with maintenance planning systems (SAP is an advantage).
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
