As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Genesys, you will be part of a product-minded engineering team building modern, scalable user experiences for the Genesys Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and architects to deliver intuitive, accessible, and high-performing solutions that help customers succeed.
In this role, you will take ownership of complex frontend challenges, contribute to technical design and architecture decisions, and help drive engineering excellence through code quality, best practices, and mentorship. You will play a key role in shaping the evolution of our frontend ecosystem while delivering impactful product increments that provide value to customers.
Responsibilities:Â Â
- Design, develop, test, and maintain secure, reliable, scalable, and high-quality frontend solutions for the Genesys Cloud Platform
- Take ownership of features and technical initiatives from design and implementation through testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support
- Contribute to technical design and architectural decisions, ensuring solutions are maintainable, scalable, and aligned with platform standards and best practices
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Architects, and Engineers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that provide value to customers
- Participate in the evolution of shared frontend frameworks, libraries, tooling, and engineering standards used across teams
- Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, knowledge sharing, testing strategies, and continuous improvement of development practices
- Mentor and support engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, participating in root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions to improve reliability
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies, align technical decisions, and support successful delivery of shared initiatives
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, decomposition of larger initiatives, and team retrospectives to help improve planning accuracy and team effectiveness
- Identify technical debt, operational risks, and improvement opportunities, and proactively drive solutions to address them
- Present technical solutions, design proposals, and delivered work to technical and non-technical audiences
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and engineering practices, evaluating opportunities to improve products and developer productivity

Requirements:Â Â
- 5+ years of professional software development experience building modern web applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with modern frontend frameworks
- Experience designing and developing scalable Single Page Applications and frontend architectures
- Experience working with APIs, cloud-based software, and modern CI/CD practices
- Understanding of software quality practices, including testing, code reviews, and maintainable design
- Experience building reliable, performant, and accessible user experiences
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting software in production environments
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and distributed team collaboration
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
