Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Database Engineer with deep expertise in
AlloyDB and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing,
implementing, and optimizing cloud-native database solutions, ensuring high availability,
performance, and scalability of mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
provide guidance on how to set up Alloy DB for peak performance on scale/concurrency without
bottlenecking
Design and implement scalable and secure AlloyDB instances on GCP.
Migrate on-premise or legacy databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) to AlloyDB.
Optimize database performance, indexing, and query tuning.
Automate database provisioning, backups, and monitoring using GCP-native tools.
Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to integrate AlloyDB into CI/CD pipelines.
Implement disaster recovery, high availability, and data replication strategies.
Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
Stay up to date with GCP and AlloyDB feature releases and best practices.
