Summary:

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia’s largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente (KP) members.Our focus is on long-term health, effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.  Care is delivered across 40+ specialties at 26 medical offices featuringstate-of-the-art equipment, labs, imaging services, and pharmacies. We also provide surgical services and around-the-clock care at some of the area’s top hospitals. We invite applications for full-time or PRN Adult, Child/Adolescent, or Geriatric Psychiatrists for our busy out-patient medical centers throughout metro Atlanta and inpatient coverage at our contracted mental health facility, Peachford Hospital.

What You Can Expect:

• Daily rounding on all KP inpatient members Monday - Friday and participation in utilization management reviews as appropriate
• Providing admission and authorization for KP members admission
• Partners with behavioral health leadership in the analysis and understanding of trends and performance improvement
• Completing initial psychiatric assessment/evaluation and development of appropriate treatment plan, including discharge planning

Minimum Requirements:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Eligible in Adult or Child/Adolescent psychiatry with strong interest in working in an inpatient setting
• 3+ years of experience working in an inpatient psychiatric setting
• Experience and competence with management of wide age ranges (from pre-adolescent to geriatric populations) and management of a wide variety of primary psychiatric diagnoses, including but not limited to mood disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders
• Currently licensed or able to obtain license in the State of Georgia
