Now Hiring: Automotive Safety and Emission Inspector

• Pay:$20 - $45 per flat rate hour (based on experience)

• Schedule:We ask that you have open availability to support dealership operations and customer demand. You will need to be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do

• Perform Virginia state safety and emissions inspections in accordance with applicable regulations.

• Inspect vehicles thoroughly and accurately identify safety or emissions-related concerns.

• Complete inspection documentation accurately and efficiently.

• Communicate inspection results and required repairs clearly with customers and service team members.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and regulatory procedures.

• Provide professional, courteous service that creates a positive customer experience

What You'll Bring

• Perform state safety and emissions inspections in compliance with applicable state regulations.

• Accurately complete inspection documentation and electronic reporting as required by the state.

• Identify and document inspection failures and necessary repairs clearly and professionally.

• Communicate inspection results to Service Advisors and customers as needed.

• Ensure adherence to all state, dealership, and manufacturer inspection requirements.

• Maintain current inspector certifications and licenses.

Total Rewards

This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonuses based on production/productivity. Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
