The Power Electronics Design Engineer (m/f/d) is responsible for the electronic design of inverters and power electronic components for battery electric vehicles. You will be partofamulticultural,multidisciplinaryTechnology&Innovationteam,workingonthedefinitionanddevelopmentofpowerelectronicsforthenextgenerationofbatteryelectricvehiclestargetingtheeMobilitymassmarket.Your responsibilities will include developing new power electronic concepts, creating electronic schematics, and performing verification testing of your concepts and designs. The role covers the complete development cycle of advanced inverter systems, from early concept and requirements definition through design and manufacturing to prototype and sample testing.

LeadPCBlayoutactivitiesbyworkingcloselywithECADengineers

Master'sdegreeinElectricalEngineeringoracomparablefield
Atleast5yearsofexperienceinelectricaldesignengineeringwithinthepowerelectronicsindustry
Deepknowledgeofcircuitdesign,PCBlayoutprocesses,andindustry-standardPCBdesigntools
Extensiveexperienceinthedesignandapplicationofpowersemiconductors(SiCMOSFETs,IGBTs),gate-drivercircuits,isolatedpowersupplies,andprotectionfunctionsforautomotivepowerelectronics
Provenexperienceinthedevelopmentofhigh-voltageinvertersystems,includingpowerstagedesign,DC-linkarchitecture,currentandvoltagesensing,thermalconsiderations,andsystemintegration
Solidunderstandingofmodernsystemsimulationmethodologiesforhigh-voltagesystems
Hands-onexperiencewithsimulationtoolssuchasMATLAB/Simulink,Ansys,andPSpice/LTspice
StrongknowledgeofEMC-relateddesignpracticesandcompliancerequirements
BasicunderstandingofFunctionalSafetyaccordingtoISO26262
