About This Role
SpartanX is seeking a highly organized and proactiveESC Electrician Scheduler to coordinate field scheduling for our Electrical Service Center.
This role is responsible for managing electrician schedules and assignments across active markets, ensuring ESC work is assigned to the right technician based on location, availability, priority, and job requirements. You'll coordinate service calls, electrical corrections, inspection deficiencies, revisits, and other ESC field needs while keeping electricians productive and projects moving.
We're looking for someone who can manage a constantly changing schedule, communicate clearly with field teams and homeowners, and quickly adjust when priorities shift.
What You’ll Do
Scheduling & Dispatch
- Build and manage daily and weekly schedules for ESC Electricians across assigned markets
- Assign electrical work based on technician availability, location, qualifications, job requirements, and operational priority
- Schedule service calls, electrical corrections, inspection deficiencies, revisits, troubleshooting appointments, and other ESC field work
- Monitor electrician availability and field capacity to maximize productivity
- Coordinate routing to reduce unnecessary drive time and improve scheduling efficiency
- Adjust schedules throughout the day when jobs run long, appointments change, emergencies arise, or priorities shift
- Ensure electricians have clear and accurate job information before dispatch
- Track scheduled work through completion and identify jobs requiring additional visits or follow-up
Operational Coordination
- Work closely with ESC leadership to prioritize open electrical work
- Coordinate with Service, Inspections, Installation, Permitting, Construction Operations, and other departments when electrical work is required
- Confirm projects are ready before scheduling electricians to avoid unnecessary or unsuccessful field visits
- Coordinate electrical work required before or following inspections
- Identify scheduling conflicts, capacity issues, and aging work orders before they impact project timelines
- Escalate urgent electrical needs or operational concerns to ESC leadership
- Support coverage planning when electricians are unavailable or additional manpower is required
Homeowner & Field Communication
- Communicate with homeowners to schedule and confirm electrical appointments
- Provide homeowners with scheduling updates when appointments change
- Maintain clear communication with electricians regarding assignments, schedule changes, and priorities
- Coordinate access requirements and other appointment details before technicians arrive
- Maintain professional communication between homeowners, field teams, and internal departments
Scheduling & Documentation
- Maintain accurate schedules, appointment records, technician assignments, and project notes within company systems
- Update job statuses and scheduling information in real time
- Document cancellations, reschedules, unsuccessful visits, and required follow-up
- Track outstanding ESC work and ensure incomplete jobs return to the schedule
- Provide scheduling and workload updates to ESC leadership
- Identify recurring scheduling issues and opportunities to improve field efficiency
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience inscheduling, dispatching, field operations coordination, or a similar role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple technicians, appointments, markets, and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to make quick scheduling decisions as field conditions and priorities change
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable communicating directly with field technicians and homeowners
- Experience using scheduling, CRM, dispatch, or project-management systems
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous electrical, solar, construction, HVAC, plumbing, or field-service scheduling experience
- Experience dispatching electricians or skilled-trade technicians
- Residential solar experience
- Familiarity with electrical service and inspection workflows
- Experience coordinating field operations across multiple geographic markets
- Understanding of technician routing and workload management
Schedule
Primarily Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturday availability required.
