Functional Pathways, a therapist-owned organization with over 30 years of experience in senior care, is looking for an experiencedVerification/Authorization Specialist to join our corporate team. This full-time role ensures seamless insurance verification and authorization for therapy services.

What You’ll Do:

• Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations for therapy services.
• Contact insurance carriers to confirm patient eligibility and benefit details.
• Accurately document communication and update patient records.
• Explain coverage information to patients and providers as needed.
• Ensure proper use of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding when applicable.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

✔ High school diploma or GED required.
✔ Prior experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or authorization preferred.
✔ Strong knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding.✔ Ability to work independently, manage time, and set priorities✔ Proficient in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Office✔ Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.✔ Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.✔ Other duties as assigned
