Position SummaryÂ
The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist supports the organization’s safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance programs across healthcare and dialysis operations. This position assists with employee training, audits, incident follow-up, documentation management, and implementation of workplace safety initiatives to help maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, CMS, state, and company requirements.Â
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in clinical environments.Â
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesÂ
Assist with implementation and maintenance of EHS programs and policiesÂ
Conduct routine safety inspections and compliance audits within dialysis clinics and support areasÂ
Support Hazard Communication (HazCom) program management including SDS maintenance and chemical inventory trackingÂ
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action trackingÂ
Monitor completion of required employee safety training and assist with training coordinationÂ
Maintain OSHA logs and safety-related documentation as assignedÂ
Support infection prevention and exposure control initiatives related to employee safetyÂ
Participate in environmental rounds and identify opportunities for risk reductionÂ
Track corrective actions and follow up with clinic leadership on outstanding itemsÂ
Support waste management compliance including regulated medical waste and hazardous waste requirementsÂ
Assist with ergonomic assessments and injury prevention initiativesÂ
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and compliance documentationÂ
Stay current on applicable OSHA and healthcare regulatory requirementsÂ
Â
QualificationsÂ
2-4 years of safety, healthcare, or regulatory compliance experience preferredÂ
Healthcare or dialysis experience preferredÂ
Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety principlesÂ
Strong organizational and communication skillsÂ
Ability to manage multiple priorities independentlyÂ
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPointÂ
Preferred CertificationsÂ
OSHA 30-HourÂ
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or willingness to obtainÂ
Physical RequirementsÂ
Ability to walk in clinical/manufacturing environments for extended periodsÂ
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 poundsÂ
Ability to travel between assigned facilitiesÂ
Ability to use standard office equipment and computersÂ
Work EnvironmentÂ
This position operates in both office and healthcare clinic environments, including dialysis treatment settings. Appropriate PPE may be required in clinical areas.Â
