This position involves heavy travel (65-85%) to commission, test and verify new conveyor automation systems throughout the U.S. This isĀ a great opportunityĀ for junior engineers who are ready to start a rewarding pathway to other areas of automation such as control system design, panel design, and power distribution.Ā Ā 

Tasks &Responsibilities:Ā Ā 

  • Debug various automation systemsĀ 

  • System and I/O CheckoutĀ Ā 

  • Support Controls and PLC checkoutĀ 

  • Test system performanceĀ Ā 

  • Lead teams of commissioning EngineersĀ Ā 

  • Verification and validation of engineered systems to meet design and customer specificationsĀ Ā 

  • Interface with clients and subcontractors and resolve problems and issues satisfactorilyĀ Ā 

  • Design pre-punched enclosures and subpanelsĀ utilizingĀ AutoCADĀ Ā 

  • Create and update project ā€œworkbook,ā€ pre-check electrical drawings foraccuracy/completeness, UL requirements prior to installation and material orderingĀ Ā 

Ā 

Qualifications:Ā Ā 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in commissioning related fieldĀ Ā 

  • 1-3 years’ experience in automation, control system design, I/O CheckoutĀ Ā 

  • Knowledgeable of electrical and controls engineering theories and principlesĀ Ā 

  • Significant electrical aptitude and knowledge of acceptable practices, techniques, and codesĀ Ā 

  • VFD experience withRockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens or Schneider is a plus but notĀ requiredĀ Ā 

  • PLC experience withRockwell/Allen-Bradley (ControlLogix & CompactLogix),Ā ModiconĀ and Siemens (S7) is a plus but notĀ requiredĀ Ā 

  • HMI experience withRockwell/Allen-Bradley, Wonderware, Ignition and WinCC is a plus but notĀ requiredĀ Ā 

Ā 

Skills/Abilities:Ā Ā 

  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, verbal, and written skillsĀ Ā 

  • Skills in AutoCAD, MS OfficeĀ suiteĀ and MS ProjectĀ Ā 

  • Ability to work with experienced, multidisciplinary, technical specialistsĀ Ā 

  • Ability to coordinate small to large projects and teams independently and make quality decisionsĀ Ā 

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems for industrial applicationsĀ Ā 

  • Skilled with AutoCAD and design of electrical panels, creating electrical drawings and schematicsĀ Ā

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This jobĀ operatesĀ primarily in industrial customer project sites. Safe working practices and awareness of the environment are essential.Ā Ā 

Ā 

TRAVEL:Ā Generally, thisĀ position requires up toĀ 65-85%Ā travelĀ to various sites.Ā Ā
