Nationwide, MI 48098Job Summary
The Senior Closing Specialist - Credit Products handles all aspects of the loan closing process for both standard and complex Commercial and Industrial (C&I) transactions. This role serves as a subject matter expert and main liaison between lending, legal, and third-party providers. The Senior Closing Specialist ensures full alignment with credit approval terms and leads coordination of all activities leading to successful loan funding and booking.Job Responsibilities:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Complex Loan Closing Coordination
- Act as the lead closing contact for PCG, Credit Products Specialists, Legal, Title, and Escrow following loan approval. Manage all activities and address escalations to ensure smooth execution.
Credit & Document Compliance
- Conduct detailed reviews of complex loan documents for consistency with credit approvals. Resolve discrepancies in collaboration with appropriate parties.
Real Estate & Title Management
- Engage directly with title companies and escrow agents on transactions involving real estate. Review and approve settlement statements and coordinate all funding logistics.
nCino & CRA Data Accuracy
- Validate that CRA data is accurate and that all booking and closing documentation is correctly uploaded in nCino.
Booking/Funding Support
- Prepare and upload all documents necessary to fund and book loans. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all closing tasks.
ADDITIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Performs special projects, and additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings. Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum experience required: ​6+ Years​ of experience in commercial lending closing, preferably with experience handling complex transactions.
Job Competencies:
- Advanced knowledge of commercial loan documentation, credit terms, legal coordination and closing workflows.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills when working with internal and external partners.
- Ability to lead complex closings and solve problems independently.
- Proficiency in nCino, Nautilus, and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple deal pipelines.
- Physical demands (ADA): ​No unusual physical exertion is involved.​

Pay Range
