What you'll do...
Role summary:The Senior Manager, Construction-DS, leads the execution and delivery of construction projects, ensuring completion on schedule, within scope, and budget. This role directs contractors and design partners to maintain compliance with Walmart’s standards and applicable regulations. The position requires proactive risk management, cross-functional collaboration, and oversight of project governance from pre-construction through closeout. The manager drives process improvements, enforces quality control, and provides leadership to project teams while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders to support operational priorities and achieve business objectives effectively.

The team leads remodel construction projects for existing stores, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards. They collaborate closely with contractors, facility management, and cross-functional partners to minimize operational impact and resolve challenges. Emphasizing effective communication and risk management, the team drives projects from planning through completion. They prioritize continuous development, coaching, and leadership to foster a performance-driven environment. What you'll do:
- Lead construction project execution to ensure completion on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
- Direct contractors, architects, and engineers to maintain compliance with plans, specifications, and Walmart standards.
- Review and approve construction documents, submittals, and change orders to align with design and regulatory requirements.
- Manage risk identification, mitigation, and resolution to maintain project momentum.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and provide timely project status, issue logs, and budget reports to stakeholders.
- Drive process improvements to enhance project delivery efficiency and constructability.
- Oversee contractor performance, compliance, and quality control throughout project lifecycle.
What you'll bring:
- Extensive experience in construction management with proven ability to lead complex projects from initiation to completion on schedule and within budget.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, including mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in contract management, vendor coordination, and negotiation to ensure compliance and optimal project outcomes.
- Proficiency in risk management, quality control, and financial oversight to maintain project governance and mitigate issues.

- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices for construction delivery.

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $155,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
