Contract Details
- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension and conversion to FTE)
- Pay Rate: $60.00–$70.00 / Hour (USD)
- Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Summary
As aFacilities Manager, you will manage a team responsible for overseeing building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or portfolio of small to medium sized buildings. This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets, providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs and investment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Schedule and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with technicians, vendors, and contractors.
- Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Prepare and manage capital projects, operating budgets, and variance reports.
- Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations. Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Oversee vendor relationships and invoicing procedures. Review price quotes for the procurement of parts, services, and labor for projects.
- Conduct process and procedure training on maintenance, repairs, and safety best practices.
- Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement.
- Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes.
- Conduct team meetings, meet with client, walk the site, complete reporting, audit SLAs and KPIs, and ensure compliance.
Required Skills
- Good communicator; able to present to clients

- Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook)
- CMMS proficiency
Preferred Skills
- Mechanical experience
- Experience working in a lab or R&D space
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's Degree preferred; in lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered
- Valid driver's license required
- Facility Management certification preferred
Required Experience
- 8–10 years of relevant experience
- Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention preferred
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Multi-use facility — office space and lab space
- Safety glasses and gloves required in lab spaces (provided by client)
- Client-facing role
- Uniform will be provided
- Candidate will have 5 direct reports
- Overtime may be required

- Background package: CBRE Safety specific, with drug screen required
