Facilities Maintenance HVAC Technician
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
Shift: Primarily Daytime Hours (6:30AM - 3:00PM); Schedule May Vary Based on Business Needs
Shift schedule may vary based on business needs and operational requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair boilers, chillers, circulation fans, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment throughout the facility.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment performance and maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
- Respond to facility service requests and support building operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Assist with commercial HVAC installations, plumbing repairs, gas line installations, and facility improvement projects.
- Support building automation controls and environmental systems.
- Maintain a safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience
- Commercial HVAC installation and maintenance experience required.
- Experience with plumbing, gas line installation/repair, and building maintenance preferred.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- CMMS system knowledge preferred.
- Intermediate blueprint reading skills.
- Beginner to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Certifications
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- NFPA 70 Arc Flash Training
- Liebert Environmental Cooling Systems Training
- Low Pressure Chiller Training
- Ohio Fire Detection License
- Building Automation Controls Training
General Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk 8β12 hours per shift.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
- Ability to work planned and unplanned overtime, including weekends as needed.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Education & Experience
Candidates will be considered for placement from Facilities Technician I through Chief Facilities Technician III based on education and related work experience. Commercial HVAC, facilities maintenance, plumbing, gas line installation, and project management experience are highly valued.
