ProjectDescription

This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in advanced semiconductor failure analysis and characterization techniques within the Yield EnhancementLaboratory.TheinternwillparticipateinastructuredlearningprojectfocusedonpreparingsemiconductorsamplesforTransmissionElectronMicroscopy(TEM)analysisusingDualBeamFocusedIonBeam(FIB)systemsandcomplementarysamplepreparationtechniques.Working alongside experienced engineers and technical mentors, the intern will contribute to projects that explore innovative sample preparation methodologies,processoptimizationstrategies,andArtificialIntelligence(AI)-Enabledapproachesthatimproveefficiencyanddata-drivendecisionmaking.Theinternshipwillprovideexposuretocutting-edgesemiconductortechnologydevelopmentactivitiesandadvancedanalyticalworkflows.

  • Collaboratewithengineeringstakeholderstounderstandcharacterizationobjectivesandsamplerequirements.
  • InvestigateadvancedFIBmethodologiesforemergingtechnologydevelopmentchallenges.
  • Participateinprojectsfocusedonimprovingsamplepreparationeffectiveness,consistency,andturnaroundtime.
  • ExploretheuseofArtificialIntelligence,LargeLanguageModels(LLMs),AgenticAIsolutions,AIAssistants,ordata-drivenapproachestoidentifyprocessimprovementopportunities.
  • Contributeideasforlaboratoryprocessenhancements,documentationqualityimprovements,andsafeworkpractices.
