Job description

We are seeking an experiencedTechnical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance applications in a cloud-native environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise inAWS, Java, Spring framework, andbasic Python, along with leadership skills to guide engineering teams and ensure best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development ofscalable, resilient, and secure applications on AWS.
• Providetechnical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers.
• Architect and implementmicroservices-based solutions usingJava and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business goals.
• Drivecode quality, best practices, and design standards across the team.
• OverseeCI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and cloud infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement robust solutions.
• Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and reliability of systems.
• Participate incode reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.)
  • Java (8 or above)
  • Spring Framework / Spring Boot / Microservices architecture
• Solid understanding of:
  • RESTful APIs and distributed systems
  • Cloud-native architecture and design patterns
• Basic working knowledge of:
  • Python
• Experience with:
  • Version control systems (Git)
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with:
  • PySpark
  • AWS Glue
• Exposure to:
  • Data engineering pipelines / ETL workflows
  • Big data processing frameworks
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation/Terraform)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Typically8+ years of experience in software development with at least2+ years in a leadership role

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability todrive technical vision and execution
• Proactive, ownership-driven mindset
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Experience

• Experience working inagile/scrum environments
• Exposure todata pipelines and analytics platforms
• Experience in large-scale distributed systems or enterprise applications
