We are seeking an experienced and forward‑thinking AssistantFinancial Controller to support our financial operations in theUnited Kingdom. As part of the finance leadership team, you will play a critical role in driving financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and supporting business performance.

This role reports directly to the Financial Controller and is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned finance professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and truly global organization.

Job Description

As an Assistant Financial Controller, you will take on a variety of key responsibilities:

Finance and Accounting Leadership

  • Oversee preparation and review of monthly departmental P&Ls, quarterly and annual financial statements, and annual budgets.
  • Partner with external advisors on statutory accounts and tax computations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all financial and tax reporting requirements, including VAT, payroll taxes and corporate income tax.
  • Provide documentation and support for internal/external audits.
  • Identify and lead cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives.
  • Contribute to financial strategy, business planning, and operational execution.
  • Act as a business partner to district operations management, offering financial insights and expertise.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Compliance

  • Ensure full adherence to statutory, fiscal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Champion a culture of compliance and ethical conduct.
  • Communicate proactively with finance teams to ensure understanding of policies and regulatory changes.
  • A professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in finance.
  • Broad finance and accounting experience.
  • Deep knowledge of tax and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
