Position title: Senior QA Test Engineer – Automation (Full-time)

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Position & Objective-Responsibilities

• Develop and maintainautomation test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and TestNG/JUnit.
• Enhance and maintainautomation frameworks supporting CI/CD pipelines and enabling automated smoke and regression test suites.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts to refine requirements and provide QA inputs.
• Design and documenttest cases, test scenarios, and test strategies across functional, regression, and end-to-end testing cycles.
• Participate in reviews of test design, coverage, and automation scripts with stakeholders.
• Identify gaps in test coverage, performroot cause analysis of defects, and enhance test scenarios accordingly.
• PerformAPI testing for RESTful and SOAP services using tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
• Write SQL queries (joins, subqueries) to validate test results against underlying databases.
• Execute, monitor, and analyze test results aligned with test metrics and quality KPIs.
• Track, manage, and resolve defects using tools such asAzure DevOps/JIRA.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams for issue resolution.
• Performmanual testing (functional, exploratory) where automation is not feasible.
• Work in anAgile/Scrum environment with continuous testing practices.

Technical Knowledge

• 4 to 7 years of experience inautomation testing with Java (preferred).
• Strong expertise inSelenium WebDriver with Java, TestNG or JUnit frameworks.
• Experience inBDD frameworks (Cucumber) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience testingREST APIs and Web Services (Postman, RestAssured).
• Familiarity withfrontend automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
• Strong knowledge ofSQL for backend validation.
• Experience withCI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git) and build tools (Maven/Gradle).
• Understanding ofmicroservices architecture and distributed systems testing.
• Good to have: Experience inperformance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
