Design Engineer | Power Transformer & Shunt Reactors | Saudi Arabia

We are seeking to recruit highly qualified Design Engineers with extensive experience in the design of Extra High Voltage (EHV) power transformers and shunt reactors for Saudi Arabia.

Technical Competencies

• Ability to perform transformer/reactor design calculations and optimization.

• Experience with electromagnetic, thermal, dielectric, and mechanical design.

• Familiarity with design software and engineering tools used for transformer and reactor design.

• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, testing requirements, and design-for-manufacturing principles.

Professional Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

• Proficient in written and spoken English.

Experience

• Minimum of10 years of proven experience in the design of power transformers and shunt reactors.

• Hands-on experience in the design of:

  • Power transformers up to 500 MVA, 400 kV.

  • Shunt reactors up to 200 MVAR, 400 kV.

• Proven expertise inelectrical or mechanical design of EHV transformers and reactors.

• Strong knowledge of international standards and design practices, includingIEC andIEEE standards.

Educational Attainment:

• Bachelor in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
