Prologue Server

What you have  

• High school diploma, equivalent, or higher 

• Previous experience in hospitality, preferably as a server 

• Excellent customer service skills 

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 

• Ability to use technology, e.g., tablets, iPads,computers, and POS system 

• Beverage knowledge, including wine andliquor 

• Ability to work on a team with members of the Front of House staff 

• Proven experience in describing dishes and beverages to guests 

• Ability to handle station, and work in a clean, organized, and efficient manner 

• A sense of ownership in everything that you do 

Whatyou’ll do  

• Serve guest in an efficient andcourteous manner following the proper steps of service 

• Set up tables with items needed for service (i.e. flatware, drinkware, condiments, linens, etc. 

• Maintain knowledge of current menu items, including ingredients,preparation, accompaniments, and sauces 

• Bus tables quickly and quietly, ensuringtable is thoroughly cleaned 

• Upsell menu items to guests, as well as pairing wine with the meal 

• Ensure guest tables are properly set up during meal period, making sureappropriate flatware and drinkware is placed 

• Participate in daily cleaning of dining room and service stations 

• Attend monthly department meetings and daily standups 

• Follow cash handling procedures, and be able to explain shortages and overages 

• Other necessary duties as reasonably assigned
