Software Engineer I, Infrastructure

Position Overview: 

FactSet is looking for aSoftwareEngineer Ito joinour Core Infrastructureorganisation.The Core Infrastructureorganisation’s mission isto power FactSet and its clients with secure, reliable infrastructure by advancing hybrid cloud, resiliency, and theFactSet.devInternal DeveloperPlatform. 

In this role,you will workwith a team of experienced engineerstomaintain and scale Tier 0infrastructurethat’sused to host and route requests to hundreds ofmicroservices.You willgain hands-on experience with C++, Python, Linux,AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, andnetworkprotocols. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and test code changes 

• Participate in an on-call rotationtorespond to critical issues 

• Participate in code reviews 

• Collaborate with engineers who useour infrastructureand help them solve their problems 

• Utilise AI tools to streamline workflows and boost productivity 

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical degree, or equivalent professional experience 

• Ability to work a hybrid schedule, working three days per week minimum in our London office 

• Proficiency with a high-level programming language 

• Good technical, collaborative, and troubleshooting skills   

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

Desired Skills: 

• Proficiency with C++, Python, andLinux 

• Exposure to common cloud infrastructure components (AWS preferred) 

• Exposure to Kubernetes 

• Previous professional experience in software engineering or a similar field 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
