GBV Case Worker

TheGBV Case Workerwill be responsible for the effective implementation of GBV case

management services, including identification and assessment of GBV risks, case planning,

referrals, follow-up, documentation, and case closure, in accordance with IRC policies, SOPs,

and GBV guiding principles.

2. Required Qualifications

• Master's degree/Bachelor from an HEC-recognized university in Social Sciences, Education, or a relevant field.
• Relevant qualifications and/or professional experience inGBV, protection, case management, or related humanitarian programmingwill be preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT and documentation skills, including proficiency in relevant case management and reporting systems.
• Strong report-writing skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.

3. Experience

• At least3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience, including at least1 years of relevant experiencein GBV, protection, case management, or humanitarian programming.
• Demonstrated experience in implementing protection and GBV services for vulnerable communities.
• Practical experience inGBV case management, referral systems, protection monitoring, and service mapping.
• Experience working with communities and other relevant stakeholders in humanitarian settings.
• Previous experience working inChaghi, Killa Abdullah, Chaman, or similar operational contextswill be an advantage.

• Strong experience in reporting, coordination, documentation, and case management.

4. Functional Responsibilities

The GBV Case Worker will be responsible for the effective implementation of GBV case management activities within the assigned catchment areas. The position will work closely with the Protection Manager, relevant service providers, community structures, and other protection actors to ensure safe, accessible, and quality GBV services.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Identify and assessGBV risks, needs, and vulnerabilitiesof individuals and families.
• Providesafe, confidential, and survivor-centered case managementin line with IRC policies, SOPs, and GBV guiding principles.
• Conduct intake, assessment, safety planning, case planning, regular follow-up, and case closure.
• Develop individualizedcase action planswith survivors and support them to make informed decisions.
• Providesafe and confidential referralsto appropriate health, MHPSS, legal, protection, and other specialized services.
• Follow up on referrals and supportcontinuity and quality of services, while respecting the survivor's consent, choices, and confidentiality.
• Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-datecase records and documentationin approved case management systems.
• Identify urgent and high-risk cases and ensure timely escalation through appropriate response mechanisms.
• Conduct community outreach and awareness activities onGBV risks, available services, rights, and referral pathways.
• Coordinate with relevant service providers and protection actors while maintaining confidentiality and data protection.
• Ensure the application ofDo No Harm, safety, confidentiality, informed consent, respect, and non-discriminationprinciples.
• Support the identification of gaps in GBV services and communicate emerging protection concerns to the Protection Manager.
• Participate in relevant coordination meetings, trainings, case discussions, and capacity building activities as required.
• Contribute to regular program reporting, data collection, monitoring, and documentation.
• Comply with IRCSafeguarding, PSEA, Code of Conduct, data protection, and

accountability standards.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager.

6. Ethical and Professional Standards

The GBV Case Worker must adhere to IRC'sCode of Conduct, Safeguarding standards,

Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) requirements, data protection

principles, confidentiality standards, and GBV guiding principles. The staff member must

ensure that all interactions and services are provided with respect for the survivor's dignity,

safety, choices, and informed consent.
