Job description:

**About the Role**

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for designing, developing, and scaling high-quality software solutions that drive product growth and deliver direct value to our customers. You will be instrumental in bridging frontend and backend development, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, Agile environment to build robust fintech products. In addition to traditional development responsibilities, you will work in an AI-assisted engineering environment, using modern AI coding tools to accelerate development, improve code quality, and ship features faster.

**What You'll Do**

* Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality software applications that are critical to our product offering.
* Collaborate effectively with Finance, Data, and Product teams to define, implement, and iterate on key product features.
* Develop clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices.
* Leverage AI-assisted development tools (such as coding copilots and code generation tools) to improve productivity, while reviewing and validating generated code to ensure production quality.
* Tackle complex technical challenges and contribute significantly to architectural decisions and system design.
* Work extensively with APIs, develop data-driven solutions, and leverage cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Ensure smooth and efficient deployment and delivery through CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
* Maintain a deep understanding of the company's architecture, codebase, and evolving customer needs.
* Actively participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and promote engineering best practices across the team, including effective use of AI development tools.

**Qualifications & Experience**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 3–5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Engineer or in a similar software development role.
* Proficiency in modern frontend technologies including React, Next.js, and UI libraries like Material UI.
* Experience with form handling libraries such as Formik and validation tools like Yup.
* Strong backend development experience with PHP (specifically Symfony) and Python.
* Solid understanding and hands-on experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
* Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
* Expertise in designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON data structures.
* Proficiency in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and applying DevOps principles.
* Strong command of programming languages including JavaScript/TypeScript, PHP, Python, and SQL.
* Familiarity with modern developer tooling, including AI-assisted coding tools (such as Copilot, Cursor, or similar), and the ability to review and refine AI-generated code.
* Experience working in an Agile development environment.
* Fluency in English (written and spoken).

**Skills (Nice-to-Haves)**

* Prior experience in the fintech industry or with financial systems.
* Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and building analytics pipelines.
* Experience integrating or working with AI-powered tools, APIs, or LLM-based systems.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
* Experience working effectively in remote or distributed team settings.
* Adaptability and a proactive approach, often found in startup environments.
* Experience with technical documentation.
* Understanding of software architecture principles.
