Job: Field Installation Engineer

Location: Epsom (must be within this area)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £26,440 basic (increasing with progression) + uncapped commission (OTE up to £50,000)
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, 9am–6pm, Monday to Friday
Saturday: One Saturday on, one Saturday off, with a day in lieu for Saturdays worked
Holiday: 29 days annual leave, increasing to 31 days after 1 year

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for aField Installation Engineer to join Verisure.

This is afield-based technical role where you’ll install, service and maintain security systems while interacting directly with customers. You'll assess customers' properties, recommend appropriate security solutions and identify opportunities for upgrades or additional products to enhance their security setup.

You don't need previous experience in security systems, as full training will be provided. However, we're looking for someone who istechnically minded, practical and enjoys solving problems, with the confidence to work independently and communicate effectively with customers.

Success in this role comes from combining strong technical and practical skills with excellent customer service and the ability to recommend the right solutions for each customer's needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of customers' properties and recommend tailored security improvements, including upgrades and additional products

• Install, service and maintain Verisure alarm systems with a focus on first-time fix

• Provide expert advice to design systems that meet customer needs and risks

• Deliver clear and engaging system demonstrations to customers

• Troubleshoot faults and resolve technical issues, including repeat false alarms

• Identify and act on opportunities to enhance customer security through additional products and services

• Manage stock, tools and company vehicle in line with company standards

• Deliver consistently high levels of customer service and professionalism
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Atechnical and practical mindset, with an interest in understanding how things work and solving problems

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

• A proactive approach with good attention to detail

• Comfortable using hand tools and working at height (step ladders)

• Full, clean manual driving licence

• Interest in technology and security systems

• Confident communicating with customers and recommending additional products or upgrades

• Previous experience in a technical, engineering, installation, sales, upselling or customer-facing role is an advantage butnot essential

• A willingness to learn and develop technical skills through our training programme
