Senior Ruby Developer

We are looking for aSenior Ruby Developer to build and expand APIs and services within our Payments team. You will work alongside other engineers, product owners, designers, business representatives and external partners to maintain a platform that securely incorporates new payment providers and builds new functionalities. We operate remote-first and prioritize the team over individuals, value innovative problem-solving, and strive for operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand APIs and services for the payments platform
• Collaboration with engineers, product owners, designers, business representatives and external partners
• Maintenance of a platform to securely incorporate new payment providers
• Development of new functionalities for the payments ecosystem
• Use of tools like Prometheus, Sentry and Kibana for application monitoring and operational intelligence
• Contribution to innovative problem solving across the team
• Drive operational efficiency within the development process

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering
• Proficiency in Ruby and React Native
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Sentry and Kibana for application monitoring and operational intelligence
• Capability to work in a remote-first environment
• Understanding of building and expanding APIs and services
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
• Skills in TypeScript
• Familiarity with PHP
