Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a self-motivated, experiencedSenior Data Engineer to work independently if needed. You will be working and representing the Data Engineering chapter within a full-stack, high-performing squad, possessing a hardworking "can-do" mindset with a focus on the collective success of the Scrum team to iteratively deliver high-quality products to enable the investments business. Knowledge of investment financial data to serve application integration to the trading platform and reporting is strongly desired, along with prior experience working on Agile Scrum teams in a scaled framework.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product Owner, Scrum Master, Subject Matter Experts and Development team to define and analyze user stories tracked in Jira
• Work in the design, development and implementation of software solutions for Tech using a modern technology stack
• Demonstrate solutions and articulate business value to business partners at sprint showcases
• Take an active part in configuration to support Data Integration
• Deliver high-quality products iteratively to enable the investments business

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a professional Data Engineer
• Expertise in SQL (programming views, stored procedures and functions)
• Advanced proficiency in Snowflake and intermediate understanding of DWH
• Advanced experience in AWS
• Intermediate experience in Python (ETL tools - Pandas/NumPy, Python unit testing)
• Familiarity with AI Dev Tools (GitHub Copilot/Actions)
• Competency in CI/CD with BitBucket/GitHub and building/maintaining a CI/CD pipeline with Bamboo
• Skills in business intelligence tools, reporting solutions and API Development
• Familiarity with reporting tools (Power BI)
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to Have

• Background in Financial Systems and reporting (Investments accounting/General Ledger)
• Expertise in integrating large-scale financial investment/ERP systems (Investment Management Warehouse, or similar platform)
• Showcase of delivering data solutions via agile methodologies using AWS resources (S3, Glue, Athena, Lambda), Snowflake, Snaplogic, REST APIs and Orchestration tools
• Background in Agile software development practices (story sizing, sprint planning, retrospectives)
