Middle Accountant, Accounts Payable (Argentina)

We are hiring a Middle Accountant to join our global shared service Accounts Payable team based in Argentina. You will help run bank payments, maintain US GAAP expense records, and support SAP month-end close. Apply now to be part of the team

Responsibilities

• Check expenditure support documents and confirm all accounting details are correct
• Initiate and oversee bank payments to EPAM partners for local and international transfers, including batch and single transactions
• Keep US GAAP expense records by category and record related accounts payable and banking transactions
• Complete monthly closing tasks for assigned accounts in SAP according to company guidelines
• Work with local statutory accountants to clarify bookkeeping questions as required
• Prepare explanations and backup documentation for Senior or Lead Accountants across all relevant entities when requested
• Handle internal and external queries, attend meetings, and provide documentation for audit support
• Partner with the IT team on process improvements, review opportunities for enhancement, and participate in testing new solutions

Requirements

• Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Accounting or Finance)
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting positions
• High proficiency in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting
• Strong eye for detail and a disciplined approach to compliance requirements
• Clear sense of responsibility with proven ownership of deliverables
• Comfort working under defined policies and procedures
• Interest in continuous learning and professional growth
• Team-oriented approach with experience in multicultural, diverse teams
• English level B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) or higher, verbal and written

Nice to Have

• ACCA or DipIFR certification
• Experience working with SAP in an accounting setting
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable or Treasury processes
