Middle Accountant, Accounts Payable (Argentina)

We are hiring a Middle Accountant to support our global shared service Accounts Payable function located in Argentina. You will process payments, perform US GAAP bookkeeping, and complete SAP month-end close while responding to audit and stakeholder requests. Responsibilities

• Check expenditure documents and confirm accounting attributes are accurate
• Process domestic and international wire transfers to EPAM counterparties, including batch and individual bank payments
• Post US GAAP entries for expenditures by type and record corresponding accounts payable and bank payment transactions
• Close assigned accounts each month in SAP by following the defined close procedures
• Communicate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping issues when needed
• Deliver explanations and supporting documents to the Senior or Lead Accountant for relevant companies upon request
• Answer internal and external queries, attend meetings, and provide audit documentation support
• Collaborate with the IT development team on process improvements, assess improvement areas, and test enhancements

Requirements

• Degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Accounting or Finance
• 2 years of professional accounting experience or more
• Strong MS Office proficiency, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis
• Excellent accuracy and focus on compliance with established controls
• Clear personal responsibility and ownership for assigned tasks
• Ability to follow established rules, procedures, and documentation standards
• Motivation for ongoing self-development and continuous learning
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate in multicultural environments
• English level B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) or above, both written and spoken

Nice to Have

• ACCA or DipIFR certification
• Hands-on experience with SAP in accounting operations
• Understanding of Accounts Payable or Treasury processes
