Lead SRE Engineer

We are seeking aLead SRE Engineer to build and run an Azure-based API management platform using infrastructure as code and robust CI/CD practices. You will own hands-on delivery across Microsoft APIM and related platforms, partnering with teammates in the EST time zone to support several initiatives at once—apply now.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement and maintain API management solutions, with Microsoft APIM as the primary platform
  • Build and administer Azure infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible
  • Improve and operate CI/CD pipelines, primarily through Jenkins and Azure DevOps
  • Partner with a cross-functional team to diagnose and fix platform reliability issues
  • Advise on API management approaches drawing on experience with multiple API management platforms
  • Balance work across multiple projects while adjusting to changing priorities and limited resources
  • Deliver senior-level, hands-on engineering contributions to ongoing initiatives

Requirements

  • Proven track record with 5+ years in Site Reliability Engineering or comparable DevOps roles
  • Strong background in API management platforms such as Microsoft APIM, Tyke or Kong
  • Extensive hands-on expertise in Terraform, Ansible and Azure cloud environments
  • Solid experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Azure DevOps
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while juggling multiple projects in parallel
  • Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility when priorities shift
  • English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with more than one API management platform such as Tyke or Kong
  • Familiarity with other cloud providers or hybrid cloud setups
  • Knowledge across a wider DevOps toolset
  • Exposure to troubleshooting complex platform issues across different environments
