Data Solution Architect

Our team is seeking aData Solution Architect to further strengthen our capabilities.

Please be aware that this position allows remote work, but exclusively from within Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the business to gather solution requirements and identify essential case studies/scenarios in order to design the data solution
• Contribute to Data and Big Data initiatives at the corporate level
• Architect Data analytics solutions by leveraging the Data technology stack alongside Big Data methodologies
• Perform reviews/audits of solution architecture, while calculating and presenting ROI
• Produce and deliver solution architecture documentation with in-depth technical detail for both customers and implementation teams
• Engage in specific "pre-sale" activities tied to existing expertise and practice to draft technical proposals in response to customer inquiries
• Oversee solution implementation from defining project requirements and objectives through to "go-live"
• Sustain a comprehensive grasp of technical solutions, architecture design trends, and best practices while keeping pace with the latest Data technologies
• Continually expand expertise by reviewing and tracking EPAM's accumulated project experience and active client engagements across diverse business domains to advance EPAM's Data business
• Develop and adhere to a personal learning plan covering the technology stack and solution architecture
• Exchange experience, knowledge, and insights with EPAM, peers, and customer teams; take part in seminars, meetups, mentoring, and training initiatives; author white papers and presentations

Requirements

• Substantial hands-on background as a Data Architect with a design/development foundation in Java, Scala, or Python
• Architectural expertise and practical knowledge covering Data Management, Data Storage, Data Visualization, Disaster Recovery, Integration, Operation, and Security
• Background in constructing conventional Cloud Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
• Familiarity with high-load and IoT Data Platform architectures and infrastructures
• Extensive experience analyzing, designing, implementing, deploying, troubleshooting, and rebuilding distributed Linux-based platforms and Big Data solutions, both on-premises and in the Cloud
• Significant Cloud experience with at least one major provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proven background in continuous delivery tools and technologies
• Comprehensive exposure to Containers and Resource Management systems such as Docker, Mesos, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and Yarn
• Capable of delivering Data Analytics projects and architectural guidelines
• Skilled in researching, comparing, and selecting suitable tools/technologies/approaches
• Hands-on knowledge of performance tuning, optimization, and bottleneck analysis
• Excellent communication abilities, with proven experience in coordinating teams and overseeing solution implementation
• Proficient in Agile development practices, particularly Scrum
• Strong capabilities in business analysis, network/stack architecture, troubleshooting, and support
• Fluent English (B2 level)
