Application Support Engineer

We are seeking anApplication Support Engineer to provide operational and technical support for back-office trading systems, including password resets, account unlocks, credit calculations and incident resolution. The role is responsible for daily checks, monitoring and release management of middle and back-office applications, ensuring minimal disruption and proactive maintenance.
Working hours: Mon-Fri, 10:30–20:00 GE (summer) and 11:30–21:00 GE (winter)
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality support for internal business applications
- Resolve incidents and service requests per SLAs
- Perform daily system checks and report status
- Support application releases and configuration changes
- Run core processes (Change/Problem Management, audits, patching)
- Identify and implement improvements for performance and automation
- Maintain relationships with internal teams and vendors
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Application Support Tools and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux and Unix
- Expertise in cloud platforms including AWS, Azure and Google Cloud
- Skills in programming for automation and small changes
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and basic networking concepts
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Customer service focus, adaptability and a team-oriented mindset
- Good time management and commitment to continuous learning
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and ServiceNow
- Background in Energy, Trading and Risk Management
- Knowledge of Exchange Traded Financial Instruments
- Understanding of Enterprise Applications
