Systems Architect

We are seeking aSystems Architect to assess a complex cloud data platform, define retention policies, and automate their rollout across subscriptions and resources. You will translate requirements into Azure-based architectures and enable delivery through clear technical plans and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Examine the iHUB platform across subscriptions and resources to build a complete architectural understanding
• Define data retention timelines and governance rules based on inputs from data governance stakeholders
• Design and automate retention policy implementation to optimize consistency and operational effort
• Translate high-level business and technical requirements into solution architectures and reference designs
• Design cloud solutions on Azure that balance security, scalability, and maintainability
• Produce detailed architecture and design documentation for solutions and decisions
• Create clear technical work items and task breakdowns that developers can execute
• Partner with DevOps to streamline delivery workflows and improve CI/CD practices
• Validate RBAC models and access patterns to ensure compliant and least-privilege implementations
• Support troubleshooting and prevention of platform issues by recommending architectural improvements

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in cloud architecture and solution design on Microsoft Azure
• Experience in data architecture with focus on data retention policies and data management
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage in production environments
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for planning, repos, and pipelines
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure as code and automated provisioning
• Strong proficiency with PowerShell for automation and operational scripting
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and release governance
• Strong understanding of RBAC principles and access control design
• Strong stakeholder management skills to align developers, DevOps, and leadership
• Strong communication skills to explain technical details to engineers and summarize to management
• Strong ownership mindset and commitment to results through collaboration and accountability
• English proficiency at B2 Upper-Intermediate level

• Experience with Azure Data Factory for data pipeline orchestration and operationalization
• Experience with Azure Databricks for data workload performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Experience with Azure Data Services to improve monitoring, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Relevant cloud or data platform certifications supporting Azure solution design
