About the Role
The Environmental Services Worker is responsible for cleaning and maintaining a facility to ensure cleanliness and sanitation. This is a seniority-based union position which reports to the Facilities & Maintenance Services Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, mopping, window cleaning, emptying dump carts, waste cans, etc.Â
- Empty, sort, and inventory various salvageable materials making it suitable for sale to outside vendors
- Use various chemicals while performing duties of cleaning sinks, commodes, urinals, etc.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment for the duration of the shift and complete multiple duties in a reasonable amount of time.
Note: A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered when competency in the role is demonstrated.

Compensation & Hours
- New hire rate: $20.94/ hour
- After 45 days worked: $21.94/hour
7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday
7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday (with every other Friday off)
