Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Degree equivalency:6 years of relevant experience
• Preferred:Master's degree

Required Experience

• Minimum9 years of related IT experience
• Minimum2 years of corporate planning or strategic development experience
  • Experience may be concurrent with the IT experience.
• Preferred:
  • 11 years of related IT experience
  • 4 years of corporate planning or strategic development experience

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and supportIBM z/OS storage environments.
• Configure, initialize, and maintainDASD devices.
• Manage and monitorSMS storage groups and utilization.
• Develop and maintainSMS Client routines.
• UseISMF to translate, validate, and activate SMS routines and maintain SMS constructs.
• Configure and administerHSM environments.
• Configure and administerRMM.
• PerformDFSMSdss full-volume and logical-dataset dump and restore operations.
• Create and maintainstorage management utilization reports.
• Support storage-related operational activities and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to improvements and modernization of the storage environment.
• Work collaboratively with the broader Operations team to maintain reliable daily operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should havestrong hands-on IBM z/OS storage administration experience, particularly withSMS, ISMF, HSM, RMM, DASD, and DFSMSdss. Experience with Luminex, TDMF, PowerMax/SRDF, T-REX/UDM, or zEDC is beneficial.
