Pay Rate: $35.00–$36.97/hr (W2)

Position Summary:
The Engineering Technician I performs basic mechanical, electrical, and metrological tasks to support the set-up and operation of the Service Center. This entry-level role focuses on developing technical skills while assisting with routine service activities under the supervision of Service Leads and the Engineering Supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of service equipment.
• Support tracking and organization of tools, fixtures, and custom equipment.
• Assist with equipment set-up and validation activities as directed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic equipment checks.
• Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities per procedures and quality standards.
• Support assigned Service Engineering or Supervisor project tasks.
• Execute calibration and maintenance of test equipment following procedures.
• Follow standard operating procedures to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, or metrology concepts preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and follow technical instructions.
• Good organizational and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings with guidance.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma required.
• Associate degree in a technical field OR 1–3 years of relevant maintenance, service, or repair experience.
• Medical device experience is preferred but not required.

Work Environment:
• Service repair hub environment.
• Requires strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• May require prolonged sitting or standing.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Travel less than 5%.
