Location: Colombia – Remote
Duration: 6 months
Role Summary:
Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and support high-traffic, customer-facing web applications, primarily focused on front-end development with occasional Java backend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop production-ready UI features using React, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Build reusable front-end components and scalable web experiences.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs, with occasional Java backend development.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, functional, and E2E tests using Playwright.
- Participate in design and code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
- Identify and optimize performance, security, accessibility, and reliability issues.
- Implement monitoring, metrics, alerts, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with product, UX, engineering, and business teams in an Agile environment.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code while maintaining ownership of code quality.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of professional front-end engineering experience.
- Strong recent experience with React, Redux, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Experience with REST APIs and Java/Python/Golang backend services.
- Experience with Playwright or similar E2E automation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Familiarity with AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Splunk, or similar observability tools.
- Strong understanding of front-end architecture, reusable components, performance, and accessibility.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
