Introduction
As an Engineer II, Systems Reliability Engineering, you will lead day-to-day production support and operations for enterprise job scheduling and workload automation platforms. You will serve as the senior technical authority for scheduling support in India, partnering with application, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure batch jobs run reliably and downstream processes are completed on time. Reporting to the Operations Lead, Foundations / Job Scheduling (LATAM), you will drive operational excellence, knowledge management, mentoring, and continuous improvement across the scheduling environment.
About the Job
- Provide end-to-end production support for HCL Workload Automation, GSCI, Velocity, and related workload automation services, including incident triage, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
- Lead incident response, post-incident reviews, and problem management activities for failed, delayed, or stalled batch processes while coordinating with upstream and downstream application teams.
- Drive knowledge management through the creation and maintenance of operational playbooks, support documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Provide day-to-day technical leadership and mentoring to India-based scheduling engineers while supporting capability development and operational maturity.
- Partner with application, infrastructure, and business teams to manage scheduling calendars, dependencies, change windows, reliability improvements, and ITSM process maturity.
About You
- 4+ years of experience in IT production support, application operations, infrastructure operations, batch processing, or Site Reliability Engineering, including leadership or supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting enterprise workload automation and job scheduling platforms such as HCL Workload Automation, TWS, Control-M, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of job dependency mapping, scheduling calendars, cross-application workload orchestration, and upstream and downstream impact analysis.
- Knowledge of ITSM practices, incident and problem management, observability tools, and the ability to communicate technical issues and business impacts effectively.
