Lead Business Analyst - Data

We're looking for a seasonedLead Business Analyst - Data who brings deep domain and process knowledge, with a specialty in converting outdated business logic and procedural databases into streamlined, modern business processes and scalable cloud solutions. This person will serve as the connector between business stakeholders and technical teams, examining current enterprise workflows, capturing business rules, building modern process designs, and leading digital transformation efforts from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Examine current enterprise business logic, legacy procedural code, and operational workflows, then rebuild them into scalable, maintainable, and efficient modern processes
• Partner closely with cross-functional business stakeholders to gather, assess, and record thorough business requirements, functional specifications, and data mapping rules
• Lead and take ownership of complete migration and modernization projects, ensuring business objectives align with technical delivery
• Establish acceptance criteria, confirm business logic through unit and user acceptance testing (UAT), and uphold best practices in data governance, engineering standards, and quality assurance
• Serve as the main connection point between business units and technical/engineering teams, convert complex technical ideas into clear business value, and oversee expectations across project timelines
• Operate independently to advocate for modernization efforts, spot operational inefficiencies, and suggest process enhancements to improve data workflows and decision-making

Requirements

• 10-15 years of hands-on experience in business analysis, business process management, or software/data solution delivery
• Understanding of relational databases, SQL-based procedural code (Oracle PL/SQL), and modern cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Azure, and/or AWS)
• Working knowledge of modern programming and automation principles such as Python logic, modular applications, and exception handling to collaborate effectively with engineering teams
• Strong analytical thinking with careful attention to detail when breaking down complex business rules and data flows
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, with a track record in stakeholder management, requirements workshops, and cross-functional leadership
• Proven capability to work autonomously, handle changing priorities, and lead complex transformation projects from initial concept through successful delivery
