About Empowered Services

Empowered Services is a one-on-one attendant care agency providingActivities of Daily Living (ADL) support andcommunity-based services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). Through ourEmpowered Choice Program (ECP), individuals receiving services canchoose a trusted friend or family member to become their paid Direct Support Professional (DSP).

Position Overview

We are hiringDirect Support Professionals (DSPs) through ourFriends & Family Caregiver Program.

This is anon-traditional caregiving role where you support someone you already know and are connected to (friend, family member, or trusted individual) who:

• Is part of the I/DD community
• Has a Service Coordinator
• Qualifies for in-home support services through Medicaid

You will provide1:1, person-centered care while Empowered Services manages payroll, onboarding, and compliance.

Important Program Details

• This position is forOregon residents only
• You must beselected by the individual receiving services
• Hours are based onstate-authorized service plans
• This isnot a traditional client assignment

Key Responsibilities

• ProvideADL support (hygiene, meals, mobility, daily routines)
• Assist withmedication reminders or support (as applicable)
• Supportcommunity access (appointments, errands, activities)
• Encourageindependence and skill development
• Follow the individual’sapproved service plan
• Maintainprofessional boundaries and clear communication
• Accuratelydocument services and daily activities
• Ensure asafe, respectful, and supportive environment

Compensation Options

Providers may qualify forone of the following pay structures based on service authorization:

Option 1:

• $25.00/hour
• No authorized overtime

Option 2:

• $22.00/hour
• Up to20 hours of overtime authorized per week
• Overtime paid attime-and-a-half ($33.00/hour)
• Up to60 total hours per week (based on eligibility and approval)

Qualifications

• Must be18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must bechosen by the individual receiving services
• Ability to pass a background check through the State of Oregon (not all records are disqualifying)
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently
• Comfortable providingpersonal care support
