Job Summary: The Traveling Electrical Site Supervisor will manage a commercial electrical project in New Mexico. They will manage other electricians to ensure they properly install, repair, and maintain electrical systems and they will conduct regular inspections to make sure that all required supplies, materials, and equipment are available and working as intended. This job includes housing, per diem, a company vehicle, and all standard company benefits! Upon completion of this project (2+ years) is the potential to manage a project in a different area.
Essential Job Duties: (Included but not limited to)Â
- Establish high-quality work practices that align with the mission of FMMÂ
- Assist with the electrical work when neededÂ
- Coordinate projects and maintain schedules to ensure crew members complete their work on timeÂ
- Produce and prepare sketches and layout drawings for projectsÂ
- Minimize errors and solve problems quicklyÂ
- Train new electricians or establish a team of crew members who facilitate training to new electriciansÂ
- Have complete understanding of electrical system installation in ground up commercial projectsÂ
- Can implement all aspects of a new construction commercial electrical build. Slab rough in, wall layout, installation of equipment/gear, power and lighting distribution, feeder pulls, trim out, trouble shooting, code compliance, best standard electrical practices, cost control, and crew managementÂ
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent apprenticeship.Â
- Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.Â
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical workÂ
- Must have knowledge of safety rules and regulations and learn client and company policy.Â
- Ability to handle multiple projects and make decisions using FMM's core values of Quality, Teamwork, Pride, Passion, and IntegrityÂ
- Proficient in computer, text, and email skillsÂ
- Proficient in using power tools and electrical testing equipment.Â
- Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)Â
- Experience working with high voltage and low voltage systems.Â
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and conceptsÂ
- Ability to build and install electrical systems in commercial and residential settings.Â
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.Â
- Ability to manage challenges and lead with confidenceÂ
- Proven leadership and organizational skillsÂ
- Exceptional communication skillsÂ
- Heavy Travel is requiredÂ
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screeningÂ
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle report screeningÂ
- High noise environmentÂ
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and working around construction machineryÂ
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Â
