Tekla 3D RC Modeller / Draftsman

from 🇬🇧 United Kingdom

Egis is a leading global architectural, consulting, construction engineering, operations and mobility services firm. We create and operate intelligent infrastructure and buildings that both respond to the climate emergency and contribute to balanced, sustainable and resilient development. Our 20,500 employees operate across over 100 countries, deploying their expertise to develop and deliver cutting-edge innovations and solutions for clients. Through the wide range of our activities, we are central to the collective organisation of society and the living environment of citizens all over the world.

In the UK, we're proud to be delivering some of the most iconic projects which help connect people, protect our environment and meet emission reduction targets. From motorways to tramways, nuclear power plants to smart cities, clients choose us to help them solve their most complex challenges - delivering climate-responsible growth that meets the needs of communities, industry and the planet.

As a result of our continued success and growth in the UK, we’re looking for full-timeTekla 3D RC Modeller / Draftsman to join our team working on Nuclear New Build projects, specifically focusing on Nuclear Island buildings of Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, and similar projects. You will enjoy reinforcing your technical skills when working on the most complex buildings of a Nuclear Power Plant, cultivating strong working relationships in a multi-cultural environment to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

You must have the right to work in the UK

The Tekla 3D RC Modeller / Draftsman is responsible for developinghigh-quality 3D reinforced concrete models usingTekla Structures for themost complex buildings of the EPR Nuclear Island on Sizewell C.

The role focuses ondetailed RC modelling and detailing, within aBIM-managed environment, working in close coordination withSenior Draftsmen and the BIM Coordinator. The position supports the delivery ofsafety-critical, highly congested reinforced concrete structures in a regulated nuclear context.

Scope of Works – Nuclear Island Buildings

The role will primarily support modelling activities forNuclear Island structures (including Reactor buildings, Fuel buildings, Safeguard Buildings, Airplane Crash buildings)

These buildings involvevery thick RC sections, high reinforcement densities, embedments, andstrict constructability constraints.

Key Responsibilities

3D RC Modelling & Detailing (Tekla)

  • Develop and maintain3D reinforced concrete models usingTekla Structures.
  • Model complex RC elements including:
    • Rafts, basemats, thick walls and slabs
    • Dense reinforcement layouts
    • Openings, penetrations, embedments, and construction joints
  • ProduceRC detailing outputs including:
    • General Arrangement (GA) drawings
    • Reinforcement drawings
    • Bar bending schedules (BBS)
  • Implement engineering mark-ups, sketches, and comments accurately into the 3D model.

BIM Environment & Coordination

  • Work within aBIM-managed environment, following theproject BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Coordinate closely with:
    • Senior Draftsman / Lead RC Detailer for technical guidance
    • BIM Coordinator for model federation, clash management, and data exchange
  • Ensure Tekla models are consistent with:
    • Naming conventions
    • Model structure
    • Level of detail and information required at each design stage
  • Support resolution of clashes and interface issues identified during coordination reviews.

Quality, Nuclear Context & Compliance

  • Deliver modelling outputs in compliance with:
    • Project procedures and nuclear quality requirements
    • Applicable design codes (Eurocodes, RCC-CW where applicable)
  • Apply a strongnuclear safety culture to modelling activities.
  • Manage revisions and updates in line with document and model control procedures.
  • Support responses to design review comments and construction queries related to RC detailing.
  • Proven experience in3D reinforced concrete modelling using Tekla Structures.
  • Strong understanding ofRC detailing principles and constructability.
  • Ability to interpretstructural drawings, calculations, and engineering intent.
