About the role
In the role as Procurement Excellence Manager, you will take the lead as project manager and/or support existing programs, transforming strategic goals into tangible results - such as developing or improving digital tools and new processes within procurement. In the role of project manager, you’ll assemble the right teams for each project, lead and motivate them to ensure continuous progress. Simultaneously, you’ll act as a sparring partner on larger and more complex tenders across If.
Your key responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities, conduct analyses, and build business cases
- Lead development projects defined by the procurement excellence strategy
- Facilitate workshops and problem-solving sessions
- Act as a sparring partner for procurement teams on large and complex tenders – strategy, negotiation, etc.
- Provide functional training and system support
- Foster cross-functional collaboration and capability development
Depending on your experience and competencies, you will join us as either Procurement Excellence Manager or Senior Procurement Excellence Manager.

About Procurement Excellence & The Team
Procurement Excellence drives improvement initiatives across If and acts as an enabler by implementing cross-functional procurement solutions that enhance collaboration and unlock synergies across business units.
You will join the Procurement Excellence team, consisting of four skilled colleagues with expertise in data analysis, digital development, sustainable procurement, and procurement strategy. Beyond the professional capabilities, we are proud of a team culture that is collaborative, open and informal. We are part of Group Legal, a truly cross Nordic & Baltic function, and we work in close partnership with procurement teams across Claims, IT, and Group Services among others.
Who are you?
This role suits someone who thrives on being proactive and making things happen. You should be comfortable navigating large organizations with many parallel projects and stakeholders. To succeed, you must communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing. You should be pragmatic and solution-oriented—if plan A doesn’t work, you try plan B. You’ll need to maintain momentum over long periods and not be discouraged by temporary setbacks.
Your qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA in a relevant field and minimum 3 years of experience in strategic procurement or procurement transformation roles from large organizations, or experience as procurement consultant
- Proven project management experience with the ability to lead projects involving many stakeholders
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- You have strong analytical skills and a structured approach to problem-solving
- Fluency in English and at least one Nordic language
