About the Role
TheWater Meter Installerreports to theSmart Meter Deployment Operations Manager atBermex. This position plays a key role inwater meter maintenanceandmeasurement.This positionalsorequiresa high degree ofwalking in outdoor environmental conditions, excellent time management, andexceptional flexibility day to day.

What You'll Do
WaterMeterMaintenance:
Perform visual inspections of water service for leaks
Identify hazards at meter sites and report accordingly
Properly change out water meters of varying sizes and brands
Properly change out water meter registers for AMI/AMR upgrade
Water Meter Reading:
Readwater meters
Enter data collected in the field into a handheld computer
Assistonadditional projects, asnecessary
Customer Communication:
Refer all consumer complaints to theappropriate authorities
Provide general information about the meter services to customers, when applicable
Use telephones, tablets, and/or computers to communicate
Other duties as assigned.
About You
Must Haves:
Education:None. Must be 18 years of age or older r
Experience:No experience necessary, employees will be trained.Validdriver's license isrequired
Nice to Have:
Education:High School Diploma or GED
Experience:1 or more years of experience in the direct exchange of water meters and registers of varying sizes;1 year of continuous work with the same employer, and/or 6 or more months working
Your Skills:
Ability to multi-task, and work independently and as a team
Exceptional flexibility in daily routines and route scheduling.Must be flexible in times of need, including extended nights and weekends.
Adequate time management skills to finish daily meter readsin a timely manner, figuring out an efficient way to read meters for that day
Excellent communication skills, comfortable interactingwithmanagement and customers
Ability to interact with unhappy or negative customers in a professional manner
Excellent attention to detail for problem solving and finding
Ability to walk long distances and prepare for weather conditions, accordingly
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
Place a high value on safety, quality of work, and operational procedures
Basic knowledge of GIS systems and principles isrequired

Where We Work
